It’s human nature.

Its human nature. People are fascinated by horrible traffic accidents and will gawk for minutes or hours. They still discuss Princess Di, John F. Kennedy, Jr, and John Lennons death, even decades later. But, do they celebrate the living with the same enthusiasm?

Knowing all that, why would any business continue to ignore traditional advertising channels and rely solely on WOM? At least with the media, they can structure their own program, target their market, and track the results. Its not just a matter of money. Sure, advertising costs money, but its an investment in the company. WOM is free promotion, but is it positive? From what Ive just written, you tell me.

I sold Yellow Page advertising for almost 25 years, and during that time, I rarely had an advertiser call me up when the directory delivered to thank me for the wonderful ad.

Yet the best things in life take time. Think of your children through the lenses of the family album; it is the changes tabulated in those pictures that make them so rich in character and experience now. Time deepens the experience; time ages the moment by filling it with layers made accessible through memories. Without time, we are like ants?filled only with a pale and surface instant. Living the moment is a call for cultivating the layers of time within the moment.

And so with the face; the layers of time that wrinkle a face are tributes to its resilience. It has weathered the helter-skelter twenties and it has survived the frantic pace of the thirties (when most of us had full time jobs and children). The marks of having lived a life rich in love, struggles, failures and successes are written all over our faces and it is these we need to embrace because they are not signs that we need anti-wrinkle treatments, but signs that we have struggled, we have loved and we have lived.

The contribution of government went from being a net dissaver during the 1980s to a net saver in 1990s-2000: during the early 1990s, government dissaving was progressively reduced and between 1997-98 and 2002-03 the government sector became a net saver again.

In the corporate sector (financial and non-financial corporations) we see substantial variations. Thus during much of the 1990s, the corporate sector has been a net saver. The Government of Australia in its Budget initiative makes broadly based savings rebate through the taxation system. Such savings abatements are available to people who make personal member retirement contributions, and/or who earn net personal profit from other savings and investments.

Since the early 1990s Australia has had an obligatory retirement pension scheme. And as it was mentioned above, private savings have been falling steadily, and are now less than 3% of disposable income. At that the national savings rate has fallen too. In Australia there has been a gross change in savings into pensions and life insurance and away from forms like repayment of home mortgages, but there was no improvement in the total.

Present days some people concerned about country?s savings too little.

Meanwhile…everybody loves a jerk!

Why do women always prefer to fall for Mr Wrong?

Women have fallen, time and again, for Mr. Darcy’s delicious arrogance, John Travolta’s leather jacketed recklessness and Rochester’s deep dark temper (never mind the mad ex-wife imprisoned in his basement). After shedding buckets of tears, eating their way through the kitchen and hearing family and friends say, “I told you so”, these women are often left guilt-ridden and heartbroken, wondering, why does one always fall for the jerks?

There are many explanations. Scientists say that such men exude supreme confidence that is pheromone-like in its smell. But ask the smitten women and they will tell you about the pleasures of that fleeting moment when their rebellious, don’t-play-by-the-rules, emotionally unavailable man had spared them his attention. Good boys are good to everyone, what’s the fun in that?

Classy Sandra Bullock’s marriage to lowlife cheater Jesse James was a surprise to most fans although it is said that Bullock’s strict upbringing led her to pluck at some rebellion chords once she grew up.

Hollywood’s good girl Jennifer Anniston went running back to the resident bad boy John Mayer each time he publicly massacred their relationship in front of the press. Actress Kim Sharma says, “I feel that there is no such thing as ‘good guy’ or a ‘bad guy’. If you like someone you opt for him. There are certain qualities about them that you really like. It may be his sense of humour, his style of dressing, personality…it could be anything. If these are the trademarks of a bad boy, then yes, women then do opt for bad boys. Personally love definitely has happened to me whether good or bad, but all that has mattered is the bond.”

However actor Aarzoo Govitrikar explains that, “There is a saying that goes something like, ‘good boys are boring’

However, online dating websites testify to the fact that people who include a flattering photo in their profiles get responses 8 times more than those who do not. If you want to get more responses, then have a picture taken ? from your most flattering angle ? and include it in your profile.

Emphasize your unique traits. What makes you different? Help the other person understand you a little bit. Be detailed just to the point of avoiding vagueness. A little caution should be exercised here. It is fine for you to give some personal information but refrain from being too personal. It is not a good idea to vent out your problems and issues you are dealing with.

Make your expectations clear. What do you really want out of a relationship? Is this just a fling or something more stable? Mention what the other person can expect from you as well. Talk about your hobbies and things that you like to do with your partner.

New Take on a Classic Dish: Cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu Wins Papas Specialty Pizza Challenge

Business Wire, August 31, 2010

Creator Barbara Hyman of Los Angeles Receives Slice of the Sales
and Free Papa Johns Pizza for Life

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Papa Johns pizza fans can now say bonjour to the The Cheesy Chicken
Cordon Bleu the winning pizza in Papas Specialty Pizza Challenge.
Created by Barbara Hyman of Los Angeles, Calif., the rendition of the
classic dish struck a chord with Papa Johns customers, representing 45
percent of the more than 240,000 Specialty Pizza Challenge pizzas sold
in the month of August.

As the creator of the winning pizza, Hyman will receive a slice of the
sales (up to $10,000), free Papa Johns pizza for life, and the
opportunity to appear in a Papas In The House television commercial.
The Cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu, which features Papa Johns original
crust, spinach Alfredo sauce, topped with grilled all white-chicken,
ham, fresh-sliced onions and extra mozzarella, Asiago, provolone and
Fontina cheeses, will now be on the Papa
Johns menu for one year.

Papas Specialty Pizza Challenge offered a unique opportunity for our
customers to have a hand in shaping our menu, said Andrew Varga, Papa
Johns Chief Marketing Officer. This innovative contest driven by
Facebook entries, the marketing ingenuity of the three finalists and
ultimately the number of pizza sales, demonstrates that people love our
pizza and will support it in a number of different ways.

Papa Johns received more than 12,000 entries via Facebook in the Papas
Specialty Pizza Challenge which were ultimately narrowed down to three
finalists in June by a panel of judges that included the Food Networks
Ted Allen and Rich Eisen of the NFL Network. On August 2, Papa Johns
put the three pizzas on its menu, and the three finalists traveled to
Papa Johns headquarters in Louisville to tour the facility and prepare
their pizzas for the companys corporate staff.

Each finalist was given a $1,000 marketing budget to promote their
pizza. Hyman spent her dough on local promotions and a Facebook page. In
addition, Hyman announced that if she won the contest, she would donate
a portion of her winnings to the National Wildlife Federation in hopes
of playing a part in the relief efforts for the gulf oil spill.

It is incredibly exciting to create a pizza that may be featured on
Papa Johns menu, Hyman said. The Cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu pizza was
born on a grocery shopping trip with my daughter. I wanted to create a
spin on an old favorite recipe that my mother used to make. Were amazed
at how much Papa Johns pizza fans around the country loved the pizza,
too.

The other two finalists, Blair Dial of Springfield, Ill., who created
the The Big Bonanza and Kendra Chapman of Ball Ground, Ga., who
entered The Workin Fire, received free pizza for a year as
semi-finalists.

Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Papa John’s International, Inc.
(NASDAQ: PZZA) is the world’s third largest pizza company. For nine of
the last 10 years, consumers have rated Papa John’s No
